Heading north to head south...

After a very busy summer and soooo hot, we're ready again to head out for the winter. This time going to South Dakota first to see some relatives and then head west to see the Badlands, etc. before heading south through Colorado and New Mexico. With all the recent hurricanes down south, we're not in any hurry to get in that area til the "season" is over. We both had recent bouts with the flu but are getting over that. We've got our last minute packing done today and just have the shutting off things to do in the house in the morning. IF we can sleep tonight, we'll be saying goodbye to the house again for the next 6 months. We had great adventures on the way down to TX last year so am eagerly looking forward to new ones this time. It is a mixed bag because there's also the sad goodbyes to friends and relatives. That last night at our church was a very tearful one. I miss everyone like my own family. I'm so glad our church is that close knit. Well, I'll be checking in later when I can get online and have some tales to tell.
